What are Narrative Portrait Sessions?
Narrative Portrait Sessions are the record you were here. They are scheduled seamlessly into your plans, meant to genuinely illustrate part of the time that you’re making this special effort to spend together.
These sweet sessions tell a chapter of your story. They hold on to what your body remembers about your visit: the temperature in the air that day, the sound your shoes made on the trail, the smell of Lake Ontario's freshwater and sunscreen.
Narrative Portrait Sessions are perfect for celebrating milestones like proposals, engagements, anniversaries, parenthood, promotions, or just because you managed to finally schedule that romantic getaway!
What Narrative Portrait Sessions Feel Like
We all want photos and videos to remember our adventures by. Narrative Sessions are meant to allow you to fully enjoy the moment while it's happening, rather than disrupting it working out the logistics of how to capture it. They feel like slowing down and speeding up at the same time since, time flies when you're having fun!
Think along the lines of:
Slow morning cafe before heading out.
A day spent lounging in your limestone city B&B, enjoying the amenities.
A ferry ride across to Wolfe Island.
A winery stop in Prince Edward County.
A sunny beach day spent among the sand dunes.
A walk along the Kingston waterfront, watching the moon rise.
Sunset at Fort Henry.
All photographed as it happens without excessive staging and interrupting. A gallery of resonant photos that feel REAL.

Narrative Sessions illustrate a chapter of your story, and include:
• Planning guidance for logistics, locations and timing
• A relaxed storytelling approach
• 120 minute photo experience
• 50 cinematic edited images
• Private digital gallery with download access + print shop
This is an ideal offer for those visiting for the weekend, or locals who are planning proposals, celebrating engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, babymoon, etc.
A 50% retainer reserves your production date.
Spring 2026 Availability
Narrative Sessions are reserved for a limited number of visiting couples each week and scheduled alongside existing travel plans.
Travel dates can be submitted in advance to check photographer availability during your stay in Kingston, Prince Edward County, or the Thousand Islands.
My 2026 Spring calendar hold these sessions:
- Tuesday and Thursday days: 9:30am-3:30pm
- Wednesday and Friday evenings: 4pm-Sunset

People often assume they’ll feel awkward until they see what relaxed movement and real interaction actually look like in photographs. You don’t need to know how to pose or act differently than you normally would.
My job is to encourage and protect the realism, with a sprinkle of guidance to ensure the end results are flattering and match the flavour, warmth and feeling of being here.
