K&A Novella Summer Portrait Session - "Day in the Life" at Lake Ontario Park, Kingston, Ontario


This Novella "Day in the Life" portrait series was inspired by weekend adventures of a newcomer couple who wanted to celebrate their new life in Canada by sharing their "day in the Life" gallery with family and friends back home in Mexico.


Like everyone, they were excited but nervous about having their photos taken so we started with something EVERYONE knows how to do... walking around. Easy, right?


We pre-planned a storyline that resembled activities they would do at Lake Ontario Park on a weekend anyway. This helped the session to feel genuine, practical, and like a memory in itself.


By the end of the session, the couple were completely at ease and used to the camera. They told me how it was definitely the most fun they've ever had having photos taken.


Scroll down to see a taste of their gallery. We made 5 stops, really, and included activities like picnicking, reading, strolling on the beach, fishing, and swimming all in one session! It was jam packed and an incredible time, just the way I love it!
